At Laika, we thrive on partnering with pioneers who are ready to make a splash. Our collaboration with TEABALLS came naturally through an already strong connection with their head of marketing, a relationship built on a previous, very successful partnership. Some people just click, and that good synergy motivated us even more to officially begin our journey together this summer.

TEABALLS makes the simple act of having a cup of tea feel like a futuristic joy, and we're thrilled to help tell that story. 


But what are TEABALLS really about?

Who doesn't love a great cup of tea? Especially enjoyable as we enter the cozier months in Germany. Now, imagine that same tea condensed into a small, solid sphere.

TEABALLS encapsulates everything people love about tea, making it more environmentally conscious, more practical, and quicker than ever. Instead of loose leaves or bags, you get a little crystal bottle filled with solid little balls of pressed tea, ready to dissolve instantly in hot or cold water. By eliminating the need for carton or plastic packaging, it prevents the release of microplastics from bags and reduces the 7.44 billion kilograms of waste caused by tea bags, resulting in a more sustainable design.

TEABALLS is not just a cute little bottle; it revolutionizes how we store and consume tea.

For founder Simon Schmidt, a passionate tea lover and industrial engineer, the idea sparked from a common annoyance: tea over brewing and turning bitter. Why shouldn't tea be simpler, faster, and more sustainable? This inventive spirit led to the birth of TEABALLS, a revolution in tea enjoyment. By adding fewer or more TEABALLS the strength of the tea can be adapted, and the flavors unfold instantly without turning bitter as time passes. 

The Tea-Goal

Our collaboration with TEABALLS goes beyond helping them make a splash in the German media, we want to tell the story of a small yet thriving business, stellar entrepreneurship, and the importance of healthy and sufficient water consumption (maybe in the form of tea). We also want to make sure that the versatility and partnerships of TEABALLS do not go unnoticed, as they are already making strides in the beverage industry with partners such as BRITA.
