The brief

Prewave initially approached us for a three-month PR project…fast-forward a few months later, and we're still going strong! Let's rewind to the beginning. In May 2022, we kicked off our cooperation with Prewave with the goal of introducing them to the DACH market. Our mission was simple: spread the word about their innovative supply chain risk monitoring solution. Lucky for us, Prewave loved working with us so much that they decided to extend our partnership beyond the initial project. In no time, we landed media coverage for Prewave, including a feature in Tagesspiegel and a company profile in Business Insider. With these wins under our belt, Prewave was convinced that a 3-month-long project was simply not long enoughis not long enough yet.

Now, we're focused on positioning Prewave as a supply chain risk management powerhouse in the DACH region. We know it's a fierce market out there, but we're ready to go the distance to make sure Prewave stands out from the competition. We're also all about showcasing Prewave's latest and greatest innovations. Likewise, we want to show the world that their supply chain risk monitoring solution is the bee's knees when it comes to transparency and innovation. After all, transparency is key in this day and age, and we're all about spreading the word far and wide. Furthermore, we also focus on building trust in the DACH region. Trust is everything, and we're constantly communicating with influencers, professionals, and potential partners to make sure Prewave is top of mind when it comes to supply chain risk management.

The campaign

At our agency, we believe in crafting custom approaches for each client, depending on their unique needs, focus, and target media outlets. When we first teamed up with Prewave, our initial campaign kicked off with client announcements highlighting their partnership with BMW, which we secured coverage for in Logistik heute and Trend Report. This generated buzz in the media and allowed us to delve deeper into the topic of supply chain management and Prewave's solutions. The timing was perfect, as the new supply chain law was about to come into effect, and Prewave's solution was perfectly poised to help businesses comply with the new regulations.

But how did we transition to pitching Prewave as a thought leader in supply chain management? We did so by offering relevant case studies and bylines featuring helpful tips and insights on supply chain surveillance that are not commonly known. Our focus was on highlighting the benefits of Prewave's AI-based systems in supply chain risk management. We also pitched various interview angles to showcase the personalities behind Prewave, Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger. Through these interviews, the founders were able to demonstrate the versatility of their program, its significance, and its unique benefits for companies. We quickly realized that the media was particularly interested in the stories behind Prewave, especially its origins as a university project. So we adapted our strategy accordingly, with great feedback.

The results

Our customized approach to PR for Prewave led to impressive results in securing media coverage across a range of publications. We strategically targeted verticals, trade journals, and national outlets to showcase Prewave's unique supply chain risk monitoring solution. Through interview pitches, we landed a feature article in Ingenieur.de, a company profile in Business Insider, and two profiles in Tagesspiegel Background (one in AI and another in the Mobility section). In addition, we secured bylines in outlets such as Wirtschaftswoche and Big Data Insider, helping to establish Prewave as a thought leader in the industry. We are thrilled with the success we have achieved so far, and we are excited to continue our partnership with Prewave. Let's see what the universe still has in stock.

“After our initial 3-month project with Laika, we were convinced of their capabilities and initiative with Prewave and are glad to continue working with them, as they advise and lead us well throughout the German media landscape.”
