Doublepack: 2 new clients & 2 new crew members for Laika!

We are thrilled to announce a double pack of good news for the end of the year: Joining Laika are two new clients and two new colleagues! We secured the accounts of a brand new fashion e-commerce brand and an innovative fitness tech startup. In line with these client gains, we are expanding the team with Nadine as an expert on consumer PR and gaming expert Tolga.

Berlin based VAHA now joins our portfolio. The company is launching a new type of fitness device that can compete with a complete fitness studio and fits perfectly into any home. The focus is on personal training, nutritional advice as well as mindfulness and meditation exercises - simply everything you need to get into the perfect flow. Valerie Bures-Bönström, the initiator and founder of Vaha, is also the co-founder of Mrs. Sporty, a successful chain of fitness clubs throughout Europe. VAHA will be officially presented to the public at the end of this year and a small number of pre-orders will be placed - if you’re interested you should mark Dec 27th in your calendar. This is when the pre-orders start.

Admittedly, we've already been secretly working for Copenhagen fashion brand StyleStore.com for a few months now. As of September, we have taken over DACH communication for the newly launched online label, which is based on timeless Scandinavian design DNA and makes sustainable fashion affordable for the modern, urban woman. StyleStore's mission is to slow down the fashion industry and make more sustainable clothing accessible to women who can't afford expensive niche labels. Already in the first weeks of our collaboration we’ve been able to draw the attention of InStyle, Madame, Cosmopolitan and ICON to the new Scandinavian label by doing a media tour in Hamburg and Munich. In addition to public relations, an influencer strategy and event PR are to follow in 2020.

From the media to the agency side: Nadine Schulz strengthens our consumer expertise

Starting in December, Nadine Schulz (41), an experienced online editor, will be on board at Laika. She will contribute her editorial expertise - collected through stations such as BILD, ProSiebenSat.1 and most recently Wizelife. Nadine also brings sound knowledge of communications consulting, which she acquired through her freelance collaboration with Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation. There she looked after clients such as Audi, BMW and Universal Germany. She has also worked as a freelance consultant for Bread&Butter and IFA.

Narrative designer Tolgahan Kaftan expands tech and gaming expertise

From the German gaming scene, narrative designer and copywriter Tolgahan Kaftan (37) joins our crew. After working for YAGER, Stratosphere Games, Aeria Games, Games for Friends and Lotum, he will continue to expand Laika's tech and gaming expertise and advise our portfolio clients on messaging and content.

We will soon let you know more about Tolga & Nadine as well as the first results on our two new clients - so stay tuned! But until then - welcome to the new joiners!
