From second place to first choice: Laika x Vinted

Dreams don’t always happen overnight—but sometimes, they happen five years later.

Back in 2020, we challenged ourselves to list 100 dream clients. Right near the top? Vinted. That same year, we actually got invited to pitch for them. The excitement was unreal. We came so close… but second place is still second. Not quite enough.

Fast forward to 2025: persistence, growth, and a lot of coffee later, Laika is officially Vinted’s chosen PR partner in Germany. 🎉

Since August, our team has been driving Vinted’s strategic communications and media in Germany. Our mission: make Vinted even more visible, culturally relevant, and community-driven—and bring the joy of secondhand to new audiences. 

Fashion will always be at Vinted’s heart, but the platform has expanded into electronics, sports gear, home goods, and more. That’s where we step in: adapting international narratives for the German market, strengthening journalist relationships, and creating a consistent consumer strategy that spans classic, digital, and non-traditional channels.

Why this assignment excites us? It’s the perfect mix of strategy, purpose, and creativity. Opening new target groups taps into our market-entry expertise. We genuinely identify with Vinted’s mission—the sustainability of secondhand consumption gives our work real purpose. And revitalizing an already established brand while making it even more omnipresent? Contemporary, challenging, and absolutely thrilling.

The pitch was competitive, organized by Cherrypicker, and we’re honored to have been chosen among several other agencies.
